A proven systematic management system to hire, orient, develop & retain capable people who are willing and able to contribute to the organizations mission, vision, values, goals and objectives (purpose). This becomes the formal method of developing the pillar “Respect for People” in Toyota Business System. New Product DevelopmentThis three day knowledge transfer is through interactive lecture, process simulations, and tool exercises that will enable the students to understand the Lean tools and methods that will dramatic reduce time-to-market product development. This workshop is different in that participants will apply lean tools and techniques to a simple product from concept to market. The knowledge comes from seeing all the various tools and techniques as they are applied, rather than just in theory. The deliverable is how to get started, how to achieve breakthrough results and overcoming obstacles you have faced in past regards to New Product Development lead times ands quality. Cell Leadership DevelopmentA professional course designed to develop the skills of your Leadership, targeted specifically at front line Supervisors. Unlike the traditional tools training offered by others, our extensive hands on experience enabled us to design a three, three day course that will lead to success in these roles. The Cell Leadership Development is focused on improving the capability of your Leadership through Leading people, improving processes, and building a culture of continuous improvement. Sustainment WorkshopThe focus of this three day workshop is for Leadership to understand the root causes, gaps and pitfalls of not sustaining the gains from your organizations continuous improvement efforts. This Sustainment workshop is a systematic approach to improve the capability of your Leadership through A3 Thinking. The participants will develop an understanding of gap analysis, driving solutions and building a culture of continuous improvement that truly sustains the gains. Developing Lean LeadersA professional course designed to develop the skill of your Leadership, targeted specifically for senior levels in your organization. Unlike other Leadership development sessions, this session will focus on the new skills required to initiate, manage and lead the organizational change required for transformations. The need for this material initiated from the question “What should the Leadership role entail?”. The Developing Lean Leader course is a customized systematic approach to improve the capability of your Leadership through Leading people, improving processes and building a culture of continuous improvement during a Lean Transformation. The course participants will learn from experienced Sensei through a series of teaching and interactive exercises based on the years of actual experiences gained as they drove their organizations through a Lean Transformation with real results. Lean CertificationLean Certification is an intense 4 week training and development program to help individuals accelerate their Lean Transformation model. Participants will not only get an introduction to the basic tools of Lean, but they will understand the requirements for creating their own business system. Two weeks of classroom training on the basic and advance Lean tools and two weeks of hands-on learning by actual improvements. Each Certification Program will identify at least 2 value streams or service lines to improve and will make improvements in 1-2 focused areas of each value stream. The net benefit is knowledge transfer, hands on learning and breakthrough improvement in those identified key areas. It is our expectation that the learning is used in a way that allows you to begin your own Lean Journey with less risk and greater impact to your organization. Lean Six Sigma CertificationA systematic approach to being Lean Six Sigma certified. Simpler® offers three levels of certification: Yellow Belt, Green Belt and Black Belt. Yellow Belt Certification is an introductory program teaching participants basic problem solving/corrective action tools and techniques. Understanding the fundamentals of identifying the problem, articulating the problem statement and driving down to possible root causes to implement change. Green Belt Certification is gaining a better understanding of some of the advance Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques while demonstrating your knowledge by utilizing the Lean Six Sigma methodology through project selection and project management. Black Belt Certification will introduce the candidates to Minitab and some more of the advanced tools and techniques that will enable the participants the ability to lead Lean Six Sigma Projects and events utilizing LSS methodology guiding teams through project selection, project management and successful project completion. Shingo Readiness InitiativeSimpler®’s Shingo Readiness Initiative is a professional approach to prepare your installation for a bid to win the Shingo Prize award. The Shingo Prize achievement criteria provides framework for identifying and evaluating world class manufacturing and business related competence and performance. The criteria comprise a systems model for manufacturing excellence. Shingo Prize applicants must prepare an Achievement Report that details key activities and results for each section of the Achievement Criteria based on relevant facts and data spanning a period of three years or longer. Simpler® will assist in Achievement Report guidance/analysis, assist in development of a defined project plan (vertical value stream), and monthly gap analysis while coaching and mentoring Leadership. Facilitator TrainingFacilitator Training is a systematic approach to improve the capability of your people that have been selected by your organization to lead and guide teams through your lean initiative processes and help ensure sustainment. This four day knowledge transfer from Sensei to participant will be through classroom learning, simulations-demonstration, and exercises to provide the participants with the roles and responsibilities of a Lean Facilitator utilizing lean tools, techniques and principles. Practical Problem Solving WorkshopProblem Solving Workshop is an intense approach to improve the capability of your people utilizing A3 thinking, practical problem solving tools and techniques. In this 5 day workshop the participants will develop an understanding of a gap analysis, driving down to possible root causes, developing resolutions, implementing change, monitoring and tracking results to ensure non re-occurrences. IT AssessmentIT assessment is customized to the needs of the client, engages the client’s people in the process, and delivers an actionable plan. Successful assessments have ranged from defining a business-system solution to reduce delivery lead-times, to increase complete-and-on-time shipment performance, to reduce costs of a running application system, to consolidate computing hardware for more capacity at less cost, to choose a software package for a particular need, to examining a client’s disaster recoverability, to adopting a specific programming methodology to improve system-development speed and quality and conformance to requirements, and the like. Specialty Services: This class of services from Simpler® is customized to the needs of the client, engages the client’s people in the process, and delivers an actionable plan. The range of services goes from strategic sourcing to strategic planning and implementation to lean accounting adoption to supply chain design to new-systems design and development. This is an adjunct and complementary set of services to the normal Lean endeavors.
