Michael Chamberlain

As President, Simpler North America and General Manager, Simpler Healthcare^SM, Mike is responsible for marketing, business development and consulting services for healthcare in North America. Mike’s passion is to leverage the knowledge he has acquired through his previous positions at Simpler^®, along with his past experiences of applying lean concepts as an executive, to improve the overall quality and delivery of healthcare.

Mike joined Simpler^® in 2001 and led a variety of successful transformations in manufacturing, professional services and healthcare. He champions the Simpler^® practice of using a prescriptive, customized approach for every client, and thrives in the atmosphere created by a team of experienced, former-executives-turned-consultants.

Prior to his current position, Mike was named Vice President Developmental Services at Simpler Consulting in 2006, and was responsible for business development, service development and delivery associated with training, education, certification and other ancillary services. Some of his initiatives in Developmental Services included working with Simpler Consulting Services to identify new offerings based on client input, and working with new and potential clients to accelerate their specific improvement plans through the enhancement of their peoples’ capabilities. Mike was named Senior Vice President in 2007 and President in 2009.

A graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mike’s lean journey began under the coaching of the Shingijutsu Group while at HON Industries (now HNI Corporation). His leadership experience during transformation initiatives has included, Director of Engineering, Project Manager and Director of Continuous Improvement, and Plant Manager.
