Keith Sieverding

Senior Vice President of Operations,
Simpler North America

Mr. Keith Sieverding wears a unique hat within the Simpler® organization. Among his other responsibilities, Keith is charged with continuous improvement inside the company, ensuring that “we take our own medicine” following the Simpler® Business model. He possesses an exceptional knowledge of Lean tools and a deep commitment to Simpler®’s values, habits and principles. As an internal consultant, Keith is also, in effect, Simpler®’s “sensei to the sensei,” providing advice born of experience, delivered with unflappable composure in the face of tough field challenges. Keith also oversees new, product-focused developmental services, and is responsible for knowledge management within the Simpler® organization. He is a crucial and strategic leader, exhibiting remarkable insight as a seasoned lean veteran.

Keith spent 20 valuable and rewarding years with Hill-Rom, a global producer of medical equipment for the patient room environment before accepting a position with Simpler® in 1999. It was during his career with Hill-Rom that Keith developed a repertoire of Lean tools under the coaching of the Shingijutsu Group, architects of the Toyota Production System. For 4-1/2 years he implemented Lean concepts in a variety of applications, including manufacturing, administration, engineering and customer service, throughout acquisitions in Germany, France and Austria.

His career assignments have included diverse positions relating to aspects of design, development and manufacturing. He has overseen the delivery of varied goods, from custom-designed make-to-order field-erected steel and concrete structures, to high volume/high mix short lead time consumer products.

Keith was named Senior Vice President - Continuous Improvement and New Product Development, Simpler North America in 2007, and made Senior Vice President of Operations in 2009.
