Every year, the IHI National Forum refuels the tanks of leaders of change, from executives to the front line, including those of us at Simpler Healthcare! Please visit Simpler Healthcare in the exhibit hall.
Also, please join us on Wednesday from 10:45-11:15am in the presentation room at the entrance to the exhibit hall for "Techniques for Ensuring Physician Engagement in Lean Transformation" with George Palma, MD, Medical Director of Simpler Healthcare. Nearly everything that occurs in a healthcare setting is a response to physician orders. Therefore, in order to realize breakthrough operational improvements, it is necessary that the members of the physician staff be actively engaged in the improvement work. This talk will provide those attending with the why’s and wherefore’s that improvement teams must consider when engaging their physicians.
The Lean Prescription: Powerful Medicine for Our Ailing Healthcare, the highly-anticipated book by Patricia Gabow, MD, former CEO of Denver Health, will make its debut at the IHI Forum. Visit the IHI bookstore on Wednesday from 10:45-11:15am to meet Dr. Gabow and have your copy signed.
